BANDCAMP/Sneak-preview unreleased single from 'Horsefeathers'!

We are now the proud owners of an official Jakob Battick & Friends Bandcamp page. You can head there to download our music either for free or for very cheap.

When you choose to purchase 'Heavy the Mountains, Heavy are the Seas in its entirety you also recieve free downloads of the original artwork (High resolution files) and four extra tracks. Among these four tracks are the following:

1) A previously unreleased "fuzz-rock" version of "Nine Brothers & The Wolf" originally recorded for as-yet-unfinished (In progress!) [Dog]and[Pony] film project. Think gnarled, snarling guitars and full drums, howling and yowling, etc.

2) The first ever recorded version of 'All That Really Lasts', a sparse reverb-laden lonerfolk version on nylon string classical guitar and layered voice. This track originally appeared on the now out of print 'The Painful Places Will All Fly From Me EP. For a long time this was Ryan Higgins' (Of Good Kids Sprouting Horns) favorite track from the Jakob Battick & Friends catalogue.

3) The original first demo of 'A Silent Prayer', with emphasized microtonalities and extra-dissonant Jesse Meunier-played cello at the end of the song. A rare and larval look into the creative process of Jakob Battick & Friends, showcasing a much more wounded, floating arrangement of the song that sort of festers while you listen to it.

4) A brand new, unreleased track from the forthcoming Jakob Battick & Friends release, 'Horsefeathers', which was recorded at NESCOM with Good Kids Anthony Bitetti & Ryan Higgins. This track, 'Prayer', is the lead-off single from the album and sports an up-tempo woodsfolkrock backing arrangment stacked with organs and many voices. This free track is reason enough to spring for the digital download, folks. It is seriously a big departure to the ears of those who were not around for 1800s Sea Monster or Swollen Spring Violets.

As I said, it is only with the purchase of HTMHATS in its entirety that you receive these bonus tracks. All recordings involved are high quality files with great fidelity, not shoddy underwater-sounding mp3s.

Also available from us on Bandcamp are the albums 'Some Songs in Chronological Order (An early retrospective of oddities and staples, now out of print) & 'Live at Hogfarm Studios (Our official live recording release from a show in Biddeford at the Hogfarm Annex in March) both for absolutely free.

Expect much more from our Bandcamp page one day soon.

I leave you with this tonight, for your listening pleasure:
